While the concept of remote work has gained immense popularity and offers flexibility, it is crucial to be aware of certain realities.
In recent times, there has been an increase in job postings that claim to be remote positions but are, in fact, hybrid roles requiring a combination of remote and on-site work. This means that while the job may provide some flexibility to work remotely, there might still be a requirement to be physically present at specific locations or adhere to certain time zones.
As we continue to provide you with job opportunities in the podcasting and audio industry, we want to emphasize the importance of conducting your own due diligence before applying to any job. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, some job listings may have expired or been filled, or the company may have no intention of hiring at all. Additionally, some job listings may be designed to exploit applicants.
We also want to remind you to exercise caution with jobs that do not list a salary or pay range. It is important to know what you will be paid for your work before accepting a job offer. If a company is not transparent about compensation, it may be a red flag.
We encourage you to thoroughly research each job opportunity before submitting an application or accepting an offer. This includes researching the company, reading reviews from current and former employees, and asking questions during the interview process.

The Joe Rogan Experience Tops New UK Podcast Chart
A new quarterly UK podcast chart has been unveiled, providing a more accurate picture of podcast listening in the country. The chart, called Edison Podcast Metrics UK, ranks podcasts based on total weekly audience reach, using data collected through interviews with over 2,000 weekly podcast consumers in the UK. Unsurprisingly, The Joe Rogan Experience claimed the top spot, reaffirming its popularity among UK listeners.
Notably, the UK top 10 is dominated by British shows, including The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett, Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, and Sh**ged Married Annoyed. Independent podcast companies also made their mark on the chart, with Goalhanger Podcasts and Peter Crouch’s Tall or Nothing securing multiple spots.
The absence of BBC shows in the top five may come as a surprise to some, but the BBC does have a presence in the top 10 and top 25. The introduction of the Edison Podcast Metrics UK chart reflects the growing maturity of the UK podcast industry and provides valuable insights into the podcasts that resonate with audiences in the country. With podcasts continuing to rise in popularity in the UK, this new ranking system is a welcome addition for creators, advertisers, and listeners alike.
Top 10 Podcasts in the UK (Edison Podcast Metrics UK):
The Joe Rogan Experience
The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett
Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster
Sh**ged Married Annoyed
That Peter Crouch Podcast
The Rest Is Politics
No Such Thing As A Fish

The new quarterly ranking system aims to become the "Billboard of podcasts" and provide even more visibility to podcasts in the UK. This development comes as podcasts continue to grow in popularity, with more than half of British adults having listened to a podcast in the past year, according to a recent survey.
